Judy Beyers started Powersource Personal Training in 1989 in Minneapolis. Her goal was to empower people to teach them to tap into their own muscle power, and to realize that they are not victims of aging, heredity, or injury.
Judy has almost 2000 current and former clients from over 16 years in the personal training business. She has been featured on Good Company, channel 9, channel 6, and channel 11 news, as well as WCCO radio. She has been a featured speaker to many corporate groups.

Power Source Personal Training at 76th and France in Edina staffs five full-time trainers to help men, women and families of all ages learn how to use free weights and nutrition to tone up, rehabilitate injuries, reverse the aging process, lose weight, fight osteoporosis, and build strength.
The firm was founded 16 years ago when Beyers wanted to do something about the shape she was in and started training with bodybuilders. Becoming one herself, she became a personal trainer and opened Power Source. Beyers holds the North American Natural Bodybuilding Title and is a frequent lecturer around the country. She has hosted the cable television series "Life in the Fit Lane" and produced a video under the same name.
The motto of the center is "You are the source, you have the power, make your dreams come true," and Beyers said the goal is independence and real personal success for all clients.

The center's specialty is teaching body sculpture, or toning muscles, and strength training so Power Source's clients can work out at home or use the free weights at their own health club.
Beyers said Power Source is unique in that it trains clients to be independent and not rely on a trainer all the time. She said clients can take as few as five training sessions and be able to see real physical changes in five weeks, then keep the program going on their own.
Power Source offers a variety of courses to help get into shape. They offer classes to get your legs, abdominal muscles and entire body into shape as well as a class specifically for people 50 and over called "Getting Younger, Getting Stronger."

A class called "Beyond Rehab" helps strengthen those chronically weak areas of the shoulders, knees and back and there is even a class of strength training and nutrition for families and couples called "Getting Stronger Together."
Beyers and her staff combined have more than 40 years of weight training experience and range in age from 29 to 53.
